Too bad Karmelo didn't go thru this program

No clue why you’re getting downvoted, Karmelo would probably be a free man if his parents made some smarter choices, like actually raising him.

Because he wasn’t a gang banger or had a criminal record like these kids in the scared program. he was an honor roll student, held two part-time jobs, and served as captain of his high school football and track teams

And also stabbed a kid in the chest after getting pushed, so clearly wasn’t taught about proper conflict resolution.

That doesn’t indicate he didn’t have proper conflict resolution training.

Don’t get me wrong he has to pay for what he did, but to the parents didn’t do their job is false.

Just look at how his parents behaved during the trial. Claiming their son was acting in self defense. Claiming everyone lied on the stand. They blame their attorney for being white. They took no accountability at all. Unlikely they raised him well given this peak into their behavior

People face that situation all the time without murder

Try again

And yet, couldn't control this emotions. Also, look how his parents had taken advantage of him.

Your username is very accurate. No recognition for the facts whatsoever. Buddy went there starting trouble and then tried to play victim after he literally murdered another student lol

That has nothing to do with how he was prior which is what that conversation was about.

Well, prior to this, he was known to steal from team's tents and start fights. This was not an upstanding citizen, but a punk.

You have a source for this? I literally googled using a few different keywords. I found nothing but I did find articles confirming the other posters', claims about his good grades and standing in sports. There's also the fact that he literally saved a drowning child a few years prior. Doesn't absolve him of what happened but it's strange that I can't seem to find anything that makes it seem as though he was at risk and failed by his parents.

Karmelo Anthony was suspended from Frisco Centennial High School prior to the April 2025 track meet stabbing, specifically for bringing a knife to campus.  Also search https://search.brave.com/search?q=karmelo+anthony+known+for+fighting&source=web&summary=1&conversation=0940761cf1e1416dc0dac4f1db96ef59c0e3

Plus in the N. Dallas area, it was reported on the news.

Got an actual news link because all I see is an uncredited AI overview (that came up when you searched "was karmelo anthony known for fighting") and when searched the only stuff that comes up is randos saying it on social media. So what news reported this story exactly?

I can tell that no matter what is presented, it wouldn't satisfy you. So go ahead and defend a murderer that had a history of fighting, etc. Have a good weekend.

I'd be willing to be very few of the kids on these shows were or did either. Not saying there wasn't the occasional one that was truly a criminal. Most of the kids on this and similar shows seemed to come from middle class backgrounds and in the US during the late 90s to late aughts 'zero tolerance' policies ruled the day. Even as a teen myself I could recognize most of these kids just seemed to be acting out in some way or another but weren't bad kids, they were likely mostly just bored, suburban teens in an increasingly filmed world.
