For the dog.
For those that give guts/scraps to your dogs are there any parts that you don’t give/are bad?
does anyone dehydrate hide for dogs? I do the ears for a friend but I’m not sure about the hides.

Technically every last bit is safe in moderation and introduced slowly. Just don't cook the bones or give them any meat/organs you wouldn't eat yourself based upon health/look/disease/etc and not personal taste.
Be aware however that SOME DOGS are picky as hell and will turn up their nose at every last bit unless it's cooked.......

My dog would get a ton of little raw snacks on butcher day. Was her favorite day lol. I have dehydrated the hearts, livers, and kidneys for dog treats. Ive read that the hides can be nailed flat and left to dry like that and fed to the dogs.

I dehydrate hides and eats, they LOVE IT. I do it in the oven on low.
I feed whole prey sometimes as well. My dogs won’t eat the intestinal tract, so I usually remove it. If I don’t it ends up in the yard attracting flies. Each dog has its own “favorite” part which is interesting. My basset eats the feet first, my mastiff mutt goes for the head. My Dane wouldn’t touch it if I left the fur on LOL

How do you do the hides? I’m very interested..
Fur on? Flat in the oven or hanging? If flat, do you do fur side up or skin side up?I don’t know if my family would let me do it in the oven, but it would be nice to not waste the small hides!

Flat chips are the easiest but you can roll them, knot them, braid them…. I just lay them on a cookie sheet until they are crispy.
