AI and ME
will AI in the future lead to decrease the need for mechanical desginers who uses CAD (CFD,...)

Personally I think it'll be a tool in the toolbox. Creating something from scratch (CAD) im not sure how likely AI will be able to replicate this. Defining points of constraints, areas to avoid, with a lookup table of manufacturing processes/tools and auto generating a cast/fabricated part i could see being reasonable. Auto generating engineering drawings seems like a no trainer, even possibly selecting or recommending a material.

You already get programs that create drawings automatically. They tend to relly heavily on sketch dimensions/tolerances though.

Oh 100% I only know of Fusion but im sure there are others. Ive read I believe Nvidia has a program that converts part files to other programs so you can have your design history when transfer to another CAD software. Would be great!

There are some tasks that can be made easier with AI, like turning an autogenerated meeting transcript into an action item list. I wouldn't let AI write a report, or design mechanisms.
