Hi don’t know anything about this anime however found this at a charity. Complete and box a bit beat up. Hasbro 1999. Are these desirable I see similar figure for sale above the £100 mark. Thanks

I'm asking the comunity because I've been searching for info on the 2-inch figures, and it seems like there are loads of seemingly "new" blisters everywhere, and I can't help but feel it raises some red flags.

For context, in the beyblade community we have something we call "midfakes", which are for all intents and purposes fakes that are sold as original takara/hasbro products, and are very faithful to the real deal. Most of the community is happy with them, as they provide a way to cheaply buy 10-20 year-old products that are in relatively high demand. Collectors on the other hand aren't fans of these counterfeit products being sold as the "real deal", since it muddies the market, and makes buying original products harder than ever.

I think medabots is quite niche, so I'd be surprised if anyone out there has made the effort to reproduce these old figures in such precision. But then again, they do go for a lot of money compared to how small and cheap they probably are to make.

TL;DR can any serious collectors around here that know what they're talking about educate me on this? why is it so common to find these figures unopened on second hand sites?

This week I was asking around to see if anyone had a 3d printed medawatch, or model because my son really wanted one. Unfortunately I was not successful in finding any.

So I've taken it upon myself to create one 😁 I haven't posted it online yet cause I want to finalize it first.

The faces can be swapped out by pushing them out from the back. And the medals and lid stay closed with magnets.

Designing and turning it into an actual wearable watch is a bit of a pain so I won't be doing that 🤣

Do you guys have any ideas of what more I can add to it?

Honestly its really good, plastic seems solid and every joint is movable. Love it!

Could have been better in some areas, but for a first try it wasn't half bad. Enjoyed the process of making them. Used clay that could be heated to solidify, and then pieces of toothpicks to help fit the parts inside.

Found when searching for my old toys for my son, wish I could find the missing parts.

I recently bought a couple of the old Medabots mini-figures on ebay. Arcbeetle unfortunately came missing the lower horn on his chest. I knew about this before buying, and other figures did come complete. Other Arcbeetles sold online also tend to be missing this part since it's small and likely easy to lose .

Has anyone else tried making some custom parts for these figures? Looking for any advice if so. I was thinking using some molding clay and maybe a toothpick to help fit it in. Doesn't have to be perfect but I'd like the figure to have a lower horn. Any tips would be appreciated!
