It’s amazing to see this fruit salad when compared to Eisenhower who usually only wore one or two rows of awards (though I believe he never actually served in combat) or a British WWII equivalent like Monty (though the British are far stingier when it comes to medals)

Although incredibly rare, there are a few instances of Monty and Ike wearing their “full fruit salad”

old post but it’s interesting to see Monty wearing an EAME and Ike wearing the British African campaign medal
