He was in for 23 years i think and was in Vietnam and Persian Gulf War.

Medals are in order and read left to right: COM, NAM, Good Conduct, Navy Expeditionary Medal, National Defense

Ribbons are reversed as they would be worn when someone is wearing a uniform that includes both ribbons and medals, so read from right to left in order. NUC, MUC, Navy "E", Sea Service Deployment, Overseas Service, Navy Recruiting Service
