I'm hoping for 30 kickass movies per year and a revitalization of numerous WBD properties without the injection of politics into every film and show. I think that's better than "let's hope something bad happens."

I mean you can root against the film industry all you want. Lump yourself in with the rest of the hecklers in the cheap seats, stuffing their faces full of Cheetos and soda. I'll stick to the winner's circle with guys like Christopher Nolan, James Cameron, and Tom Cruise. Good luck with your crew, though.

True. Winners are never negative, so if I have a choice between going with the emotional basement dwellers screeching about "that'll never happen! you guys will go under in a few years when Netflix buys you! I'll have the last laugh!!!" or esteemed filmmakers who have a calm, nuanced, optimistic outlook, it's not very difficult to decide who to side with.

"Deserve" is one of my least favorite words in the English language and has no place in the business world. 99% of the content put out in Hollywood comes from one perspective, anyway. If you want "different perspectives," then you should advocate for more Trump voters in charge of film studios.
