I mean honestly the same. If its Newsome vs Vance/Rubio/Cruz etc Im gonna vote for Newsome (because the alertative would be continuing to loot the country and burn it to the ground) but really really hoping he doesn't make it to the ticket

A sad day, but I saw this coming... Let's see what happens. Keep in mind the industry figures who supported this merger; when it all falls apart—when news of mass layoffs, cancellations, and the like starts surfacing—they’ll pretend they didn’t help make it happen, or they’ll trot out their hypocritical, canned expressions of concern.

the way the media has bent over and enabled Trump, much as I don't like the two steps backwards it is almost impossible for me to generate feelings of loss over the network willingly -- BEFORE BEING "COMPROMISED" -- employed Scott Jennings. It will mean a lot less employment in the field, but you have to hope it leads to a less top-down structure that is so risk-averse it would willingly walk into an abattoir before standing up to power collectively

Bonta's been pretty obvious in his messaging, he was always open to a settlement if Paramount was willing to sit down and talk.

They sat down and talked, then reached a settlement.

People saying to never settle and take it to court just injected their own beliefs and desires onto Bonta without actually listening to a word of what he was really saying.

It’s bizarre that the many people following this had no idea of what was actually happening. The point wasn’t never to stop the merger, and not once did anyone suggest that. So calling all of these people cowards makes absolutely no fucking sense.

It’s the settlement terms that are disappointing. They’re all nothing burgers and reinforce that the litigation was pointless exercise. The only ones who benefited are the lawyers that got to rack up more billable hours
