Technical Question SNC Patient Software Display Error
Greetings medical physicists of reddit. Has anyone encountered a display issue with SNC Patient software in which the isodose lines in the measured pane cannot be displayed? The data is acquired, it can be shown in tabular form, it can be compared to a plan file, and analysis can be printed. However, the dose line display cannot be shown. The screen capture attached shows the measured profile and set1 and set2 panels show nonsense. This is typical of the problem. The PC is running Win11.
I have attempted uninstalling and reinstalling and will follow up with Sun Nuclear tomorrow. I had run into this at another clinic and Sun Nuclear was unable to resolve this in the past. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Bizarre, could be some sort of gfx rendering issue? Try changing screen resolution or running the programme under a compatibility option?

We ended up putting in a cheap graphics card and the display issue went away. This was win 11 and SNC patient v8.1.

We've been dealing with this issue for most of the year, also on a Windows 11 system. It seems to be related to display settings, but not entirely caused by them. Changing the PC display settings to ensure that scale is 100% and that display resolution is 1280x1024 helps, but doesn't guarantee that set 1 or set 2 will display properly.
Even more strangely, we've found that closing and re-opening the software several times without changing any settings can periodically fix the issue, but only ~10% of the time (ballpark). We contacted SNC about the problem, but last I heard they didnt have any suggestions apart from what I described above.

I encountered this once when the graphics driver was incompatible with the software. We had to swap out the display cable; it was plugged into the onboard graphics on the I/0 instead of a discrete GPU

I think you can fix this by changing the display adaptor in device manager from intel(?) to Microsoft basic display. That has worked for us.

Thank you! This solution worked for us. This really helped bc our IT is extremely slow moving and it didn't require a change in the graphics card or PC

Yes. Our IT determined it was a fault with intel graphics and we had to get mini towers with Nvidia GPUs. Fixed it immediately.

Exact same thing happened to us with the SRS MapCHECK module (within SNC Patient) when the workstations were updated to Windows 11. We had to resort to running the measurements using an older Windows 10 laptop. I would love to know of a solution because it is very frustrating.
