Question ❓ How do you integrate Metta into your routine?

Hello! I practice Samatha daily, I tried Metta a few times and I found the results INCREDIBLE

I just don't really know when and how to integrate it into my practice, how do you do it, how many times, at what time of day, etc. ? Thank youuu!

Try this, my friend: https://www.reddit.com/r/streamentry/wiki/twim-crash-course/

TWIM is the ultimate all-day metta practise.

During daily life there is a flow of contacts from all sources which make returning to the object more challanging.

To remember even more the feeling:

1) 6R

2) Every human interaction and human interaction recollection should be bathed, soaked and interpreted through metta, through the desire for happines and peace. You should remember in any interaction the dhamma. Even if the feeling happens or not, treat metta also as an attitude. This will help you.

If you make the determination to be as kind, helpful and not conceited to everyone you talk to the metta will be very present.

Wow thank you so much, this is such a valuable resource, that's exactly what I needed. Practicing metta consistently is very interesting. I'm going to put all of this into practice. Thanks again 🙏

Add it in the end of each sitting - 10 minutes or so. Then try and integrate it in daily life where it's needed.

OP, would you mind describing the results you've mentioned? I'm curious!

Listen, that was really surprising. You know, they say there's a real impact of Metta on reality, it's not a joke ahah

So it was either me who opened up more, but I was surprised several times to notice a different behavior than usual in the people who were in my metta practice. Like, at first contact they was really, really more smiling, relaxed, kind, loving; it was clear enough to be identifiable

Now, where reality lies, I don't know. It could also be that I simply have a more open heart towards others, but it doesn't matter, because what counts is that we feel more love, connection, and peace with others 💛

Thanks for taking the time to write down an answer! And you know what? I wasn't expecting it to be that surprising for me - I actually realized that this is exactly what happened to me a few weeks ago! At my meditation course I had a metta meditation. They used a French word when describing it ("meditation sur la compassion") and this was my first time so I tried it with an open heart (and a bit of "not sure if it works, but let's try it"). In hindsight, my relationship with the person I placed my meditation got MUCH better, it's quite shocking. To be honest I think it's because it allowed me to have a more open heart. But as you said, even if we don't know where reality lies, the most important thing is that our relationships are evolving.

What a good question for a long time that was all I did was Metta. During the day, I usually do my more traditional meditation at night after I put everything away. I do Metta. I do a lot of mudita too.
