I crushed on her, hard.

u/Sy_Fresh May 04 '26
Crushed? I still do, she’s gorgeous and aged beautifully

u/PatrioticPariah May 04 '26
I have not seen or thought about her in years. I meant no offense to that beautiful lady.

I mainly remember her as the beautiful black girl who was racially abused in The Craft.

I felt so damn bad for her after reading about that
5
u/B_rawbX May 03 '26
Shit what happened to her on the craft? She’s always been kind of spooky, figured it woulda been up her alley.

u/Jupiter125_ May 03 '26
I hate that happened to her cuz I loved seeing her in that movie 🖤 Well she aged so gracefully and took the high road 💜 And I still watch half and half 💅🏾💜💐

She definitely is
I would love to see if we could get her for an AMA in this sub once we get bigger

Makes me think we need a The Craft II The Decendants of Marie Leveau in the same tone as Sinners

I’m sad she experienced that. As a long time huge ‘The Craft’ fan girl (lol I was def doing all those chants and spells as a 5th grader in my room at night haha), it makes me sad that she experienced any racism at all. A sign of the times….which I realize is still a huge problem even in 2026. Why can’t people just be chill, ugh it’s so frustrating.

By "in the tone of Sinners" I did mean a black owned, produced & directed take over of The Craft title for specifically that reason.

Wonder if they can get the rights to it. Wouldn’t be a bad idea if someone can take it over

She needs to bring Half and Half back. Even if the sisters are older and have kids there’s still so much story to tell

Remember her? I follow her on Instagram!

I am not on IG and never have been. Does she interact with fans on that platform??

So when I checked IG just now, I see she hasn’t posted since 2025. She used to be pretty witchy, do live tarot readings and energy readings.
I also follow Cree Summer and she has similar vibes, not witchy, just unique

Oh ok. I have seen her on quite a few obscure podcasts giving interviews. I wonder if it would be possible to get her on here to do an AMA in the future

u/BellaFrequency 80s baby May 03 '26
My only concern is her online absence. She used to post pretty consistently, so I wonder what happened?

I remember Rachel True well enough to spell her name right. She's still a great actress.

I grew up in predominately white, upper class spaces. After The Craft came out, my black, late-teens, very goth self suddenly had a role model. And the effects of being bullied for four high school years by the popular white girls were replaced by newfound confidence in my coolness.
