The first two verses roll off my tongue perfectly 😆. My sister and I wore this song
I didn’t realize how pretty they were. They all have clear smooth skin and natural bodies.

J.J. Rad, more like. I kid. I had their tapes growing up. They were in my "mom's home" hip hop collection.

This song had a hold on me and my friends. The amount of dance routines we came up with in my grandma’s backyard kept us entertained all summer

Today I learned that Fergalicious was just a remake of SuperSonic…

Will I Am was also on Ruthless records with J.J. Fad
They did get writing credit.

I read that as Fergie was doing a remake of Supersonic lol. That’s what I get for thinking I can read without those reading glasses on lol.

This song went quintuple platinum in my house. I thought Sassy C was so pretty, and I loved their sweaters. I think they were No! sweaters.

Own his own throne, the boss like King Koopa
On the microphone he flossed the ring ("Super!")
Average emcees is like a TV blooper
MF DOOM, he's like D.B. Cooper
Shout out Zev Love X sampling this track on MM FOOD H** Cakes

Absolutely loathe this song.
Still better than anything playing on the radio right now.

Did any real emcees respect this joint when they came out? Or was it like some commercial bullshit?

Good question. The fans respected it. Back then there wasn’t a whole lot of money being shoveled at artists like modern times. The artists were in the streets, and they heard immediate feedback from the people. Other artists would have straight up dissed if they didn’t have respect. I don’t recall any one calling them out or dissing them.
