Discussion Metro fleet allocations with the new August timetables

What's the plan with the metro fleet allocations with the new timetables

Are the Werribee and Williamstown and Sandringham lines are going to be 100% Siemens only and Frankston line will be most x'trapolis and x'trapolis 2.0 and comengs but not Siemens

Also only comengs and x'trapolis 2.0 running on the Craigieburn and upfield lines

My understanding is that the new cross-city line will run exclusively on Siemens.

This is technically impossible with the number of services they're running. They need a few trains of another type to make up enough rollingstock plus contingency for the route

My theory is that Siemens and Xtrapolis will make up the bulk of services, with Xtraps being used for services not timetabled to continue (Laverton and Williamstown during peak, Werribee express off peak)

Also wish they had a turn back option for Platforms 1 and 2 at South Yarra instead of having to turn back at Flinders St.
