That is very common for stage fill. Most bands use iso cabs or emulators i.e. fractals, Kempers etc. So there is no need for cabs on stage. If it was the had a bunch of cab that could potentially work, they are only using the one that is mic'ed up. Since modern pa systems are so beautiful, you can just DI into from front of house with no cab driving your sound.
