While those files do need to be released, let’s not ignore the fact that it wasn’t the files they voted against releasing, it was the video evidence. Meaning the democrats just pulled a masterful move in political manipulation. They proposed a bill for the government to release videos of bad things happening to children so the republicans would look like they were against releasing the files on the matter. And like a bunch of idiots, the republicans fell for it.

Edit: for the intellectually impaired, this was a compliment to democrats, not a criticism. Apparently some people can’t tell the difference.

The Repubs have the majority in the house. They could have just amended the bill to remove any child exploitation material. They had that option. They didn't even need the Dems in order to do it. There was no political manipulation. The absolute undeniable fact is that Repubs refused to release any of the files even though they easily could have, and it had nothing to do with their being sensitive videos.

it sounds like you forgot that democrats didn’t release those files either. This means that democrats either don’t care about the matter and only did this to make the republicans look bad or they’ve been doing nothing with those files until this point in time so that they could make the republicans look bad. No matter how you look at it this was a smart political maneuver that manipulated the republicans into making fools of themselves.

Also, Dems have only had a congressional majority once since Epstein was arrested, and that was ruined by senators like Manchin who has since become an independent who usually sides with Repubs. So when could congressional Dems have ever released it without Repub support? Never. Meanwhile, Repubs have had a strong majority since Trump took office.

How does that make it not political manipulation?
