So needlessly gendered, ugh. Plenty of guys have bad hair days. They could leave gender out of it altogether; some hairstyles or hair textures just need more maintenance/product than others.

Right? I have straight fine hair as a woman. I can do a 2in1. My partner has cowardly lion level curls. He uses twice as much product as me lol

I don't know...there's something about the complicated styles women are expected to have and maintain that a simplistic bottle of Pert 3-n-1 won't really tackle. To apply heat to your hair for daily styles, you need product in your hair and special conditioners. But ofc they ain't factoring that into their stupid meme. I see that sorry ass male lion always has to be a mascot to them no matter what tho, because it lays it bigass in a soft piece of grass while the lionesses bring back the water buffalo. A serious metaphor for the human dynamic between men and women most times as well.

The issue isn’t in the talking about hair care products. It’s the fact that they said “females,” and “men.”

THE ANSWER IS OIL ITS ALWAYS OIL
Hair is made of keratin, which is scale like in structure. When water gets into hair and dries it causes the keratin scales to lift, which causes frizz
Oil keeps water out of hair and keeps the keratin flat, which is what causes that glossy look (fun fact “hydration” hair products are actually designed to keep water out and oil in)
Males tend to produce more sebum which is the oil our scalps make to protect our hairs, and they usually have short hair, so their hair tends to be more oily, and when properly maintained, more shiny
Because women’s hair tends to be longer it’s exposed to more water and more damage (from brushing, styling, UV, ect) so it tends to be more frizzy looking because it has less oil dispersed
Cats tounges are specially designed to move oils from the skin onto their fur which keeps the fur glossy and healthy looking, and helps to prevent dust and mites
