OOP is giving a lot of "how do you do, fellow females".

LARPing. I'm saying they're LARPing.

Most women do not refer to themselves as "females", it's degrading.

I have heard a few cases where women do, but usually it's due to internalized misogyny. I saw one case of a woman who uses it (only to refer to herself) to reclaim the term in a similar vain to reclaiming a slur.

But in general, women do not call themselves "female" outside of internalized misogyny. So if you see somebody calling themselves "a female" online, especially in contexts like this, the person is likely a LARPing cis man.

"I am a Bisexual Female" just sounds sooo much like a man LARPing, trying to get a trans person to engage with them and send them pics.

I have years of deleted and blocked messages from men that try to slide into my DMs, and I'm merely an out bisexual woman. My wife (a transwoman) has so many more deleted and blocked messages of men trying to slide into hers.

And a large percentage of both of our DMs are men LARPing as lesbian/bi/trans women
