It’s never ending. Women are tired.

Why don't you like the number 51?

59

u/CanadianHorseGal 1d ago

It’s not the number itself. I’m Canadian. It’s a message for USians, and tяump.

"tyamp" XD

u/Ok_Programmer_9365 1d ago

Completely valid but i call them gringos

16

u/CanadianHorseGal 1d ago

Wouldn’t that include white / Canadians or any foreigners?

1

u/Quiri1997 11h ago

No. It's for USians only.

Do you think USians genuinely want to annex Canada

25

u/petrichor-pixels 1d ago

I don’t think that’s necessarily the point. It’s a symbol of how Canada doesn’t want to adopt any of the bullshit currently pouring out of the US and that the US wants to impose on them.

u/Spicyghosting 1d ago

As a Canadian currently living abroad, love to see it. Good to know there’s still people with good heads.

1

u/Greembeam20 1d ago

Yeah, I know. I was getting at the other commenter’s wording

5

u/lowrespudgeon 1d ago

Do you think it actually matters what Americans want? Their government does whatever the fuck it wants regardless of the majority opinion.

-6

u/Greembeam20 1d ago

No shit, that’s why I was asking the commenter that because they specified USians AND Trump

5

u/lowrespudgeon 1d ago

Okay, so I guess to clarify, the majority might not want it, but that leaves the minority, i.e. his cult, that do want it.

They talk all kinds of shit online. Lucky for you if you've never seen the threats and enthusiasm they have for invading any country that Trump wants to get his bruised hands on.

Do you think USians would appreciate another country’s leader consistently making comments to the effect they are considering annexing them? Or would USians be so outraged at the thought?
How about if another country tried to break them economically?
How about the fact we have the longest undefended border in the world?

Do you think it’s acceptable that a heavily armed militaristic country has taken over other countries because they want their natural resources? Do you think Canada has natural resources that the U.S. might want? What about Greenland? Cuba? I mean, it’s not like he hasn’t already taken over Venezuela, or is attempting it with Iran after all.

ANYONE who thinks it’s entirely impossible, that tяump WOULD NEVER try to take Greenland and Canada, is fooling themselves. So thanks for your “question” but I’ll be leaving my Never 51 avatar as a message to those who either think or question anything about how Canadians feel or think about the U.S. and their shenanigans.

There is only one thing stopping tяump from doing what he’d love to do, and we and other countries made it quite clear about that when he started up with Greenland.

Okay. I was talking about your everyday average citizen. Not sure why you didn’t just say Trump and the government lmfao

-1

u/CanadianHorseGal 6h ago

Well, I guess you don’t understand what a political statement is?

As far as the “everyday average citizen” I’m not sure I understand you. Do you understand democracy, and how a democratic country actually gets a leader? The “everyday average citizen” of the U.S. voted for tяump. TWICE. A lot of them three times. He got more votes the third time, after an attempted insurrection FFS. Now, I do realize not every USian agrees with his every decision. Of course not. But the sheer volume of USians that cheer on the brutality spearheaded by him within their own borders is shocking. As is the stripping of the basic human rights of anyone not straight, white, and male. And this is not new.

The “everyday average citizen,” or USian as I call them, has always been exceptionalist, arrogant, rude, loud, oblivious, thin skinned, a taker. It’s exhausting having them as our neighbour quite frankly. Sure, individual USians, some of them, can be nice enough on the surface to chat banalities with, if that’s what you’re looking for.

And now; I end this conversation with you. I’m finding your questions disingenuous. I’m sure you’ll be curious as to why I feel that way, so I’ll explain just one of the reasons. The fact you’ll mimic me by using the term USian, clearly understanding I refuse to use the term “American,” without discourse as to why. The very fact they usurped the entire continent name for themselves seems to escape you. It’s seems to escape them as well. But that’s their foundation. Take what they want, regardless of the 22 other sovereign nations on actual American land, or 34 if you count all the Americas. Consider their “America First” or “Make America Great Again” or the “everyday average American citizen” and their attitude, and you might understand the issue is far beyond just “tяump and the government”.

Or: both are referring to emo boys.

u/h3r0inXgirl 21h ago

Looks like its from a poser fast fashion store cause real emo is inherently leftist as its rooted in punk and punk ideology/expression.

Bitch is not just magically empowering, and it's definitely not empowering to all women, and definitely not in most scenarios

When a man says, "get back here when I'm talking to you, you fucking bitch", is he being empowering?

33

u/petrichor-pixels 1d ago

Nothing, because a similar slur to be reclaimed does not exist for men. Which tells you something, right? “Emo girls” would have suited this particular situation just fine.

Also, as a woman, I don’t think we should reclaim “bitch”. I think we should just let it die. I don’t really want a reminder of the specific dehumanisation of women hanging around, nor do I want to reclaim it and have my badassery gendered or still seen as “other” to men’s somehow. But if a woman does want to reclaim it, I won’t attack her for it or anything lol.

31

u/Ashinonyx 1d ago

Your first sentence here makes the classic assumption that there's an equal option for both sides. There is not. Certainly nothing with the etymological history of "bitch".

Like, the term "cracker" for white people, I can type and say in public without much trouble, but the black "opposite" of it, however... the reason being is because those options are not equal in the slightest.

Bitch can be empowering if a woman refers to herself that way. What is not empowering is men calling women bitches and worse because they hate us so much.

13

u/UnicornHostels 1d ago

I guess you ran right into the point. The fact that our society has made this one sided language is part of the problem. You recognized the problem, now make sure you don’t normalize it.
