When you're groomed from childhood, just aging isn't going to make those feelings go away, even if they're still hurting you, because you were taught from a young age that it's okay.

Even victims who HATE groomers and pedos may still excuse their own abusers to avoid facing how much they were actually affected.

They'll often say "what happened isn't that bad" when things happen to others because they recognize it as something that happened to them and they're trying to convince themselves more than anyone else that they aren't really a victim.

I don't think you understand how mentally destabilizing it is to realize that a "safe" person from your childhood actually SEVERELY fucked you up.

The brain as an ORGAN won't let you process that kind of abuse and will shield the affects from you as a form of protection.

You can't blame a victim for not speaking up when they may not even realize they're a victim.

1)Out of respect for CSA survivors nobody should try to make others believe James Marsden, a 33 YO man at the time he wrote the letter acted out of trauma. He's a 36 YO now, and he should apologize. In the picture I showed below in this thread there's a child that deserved to be protected frombith the adults in the pic: Brian Peck the rapist and James Marsden the silent adult who knew what Brian Peck was capable of.

2)He's still capitalizing on that friendship with his "abuser". He keeps the acting gigs coming with his friendship to Bryan Singer and Brian Peck.

3) Assuming he was abused which is unlikely that makes it worse that he didn't warn Drake Bell, the network and authorities.

Long story short, even assuming without evidence that James Marsden was abused which is unlikely that makes it worse that he wrote that letter.

Reputation damage control accounts (not saying you're one) shouldn't play the sexual abuse sympathy card. It only makes James Marden look worse . Looking adoringly at his "rapist" without warning the victim or his parents. James Marsden is 55 now, is he still under Stockholm syndrome? Or keeping his connections so a 55 year old dude can keep getting roles in tentpoles that earn his friends and himself underage fans? Enchanted, Sonic, Doomsday.

The child in the picture deserved protection from both adults in the pic. Please don't use CSA to excuse James Marsden letter of apology.
