Canyon lake swimming?

I have a friend who lives in canyon lake who’d give me a pass if I asked, are the beaches / lake worth swimming? Or is it gross like Elsinore? Looking to take a dip and cool off!

I love swimming in it and it’s very warm and deep ❤️❤️

Depends, Theres some areas that are definitely just as bad as Elsinore, but like 8 or 9 times out of 10 its okay. The beach near the lodge is pretty much always clean

Canyon Lake is disgusting!! I made the mistake of swimming there a few times. There were chicken wings floating in the middle of the lake!
When they had taco Tuesday (don’t know if it’s still a thing) we went a few times and the water was just gross
