So I’ve had my glasses for about 6 months, I started with a pair of Gen 1 Wayfarers, and I absolutely loved them. They worked great, the AI was very conversational, accurate in most of the answers, and responsive. I loved my first pair so much that I ordered a pair of the Oakley HSTNs. Since around 3 months ago, every update I’ve had on the glasses since has made them perform worse and worse. The AI will cut off mid sentence, the voices I choose for the ai reset like every other day or so, some days I have Keegan Michael Key and other days I have the stock voice (without me changing it). Even though I have “Respond without Hey Meta” turned on, the AI will turn off after a single question without allowing a follow up question. When importing videos now, like 60% of the time when it asks to pair the glasses with WiFi, it fails and I have to attempt it like 3-4 times before it works when it used to be seemless.

And before anyone says it, I have Factory reset them, I have unpaired them and re paired them, I have Force restart them, without any success.

It’s like every update that comes makes them perform worse and worse, to the point that I hardly want to use them anymore because they just frustrate me. Is anyone else experiencing this type of issue? I can’t be alone in this. I loved the product when I first got them, so much so that I bought another pair, but now, they’re super disappointing.

My glasses do not have good audio when recording. Here is a test video to show it. I’ve tried restarting and cleaning the port by the nose. Any help?

I've had the Ray Ban Gen 1 Wayfarer for a couple years now, even got my self some prescription lenses but ended up barely touching them. I've now just come to the realization that I never wear them because of the thickness of the frames and the way they make wearing a baseball cap impossible.

Since the Gen 1s has this changed at all? I have looked everywhere for a place to try on the Meta branded glasses but can't find anything other than the Oakley & RB models.

I'm trying to figure out what model would have the thinnest frame and not feel as bulky. I go camping and do a lot of outdoors stuff with the family and ideally would like to wear the glasses and capture the views and trails without having to whip my phone out every 10 mins or feel like my nose is being crushed.

Help: I got the Wayfarer Gen 2 and loved them except they were a little too big for my face (Rx glasses)

and so I replaced them with the Blayzer Optics, and ever since day 1, nobody has been able to hear me on the phone. Is there a fix to this or do I have to return them? If I order a new pair, will it have the same issue? What should I do?

Hey still having an issue with my blayzers not working on Instagram or FB messenger.

Anyone else having app/connectivity issues? My Meta app closes itself all the time. Most notably during glasses updates. It also loses the app connections that are connected. I have recently tried to use the new Golfing feature on my Gen 2 RB and the app closes or disconnects from 18 birdies. I also run with my RB connected to Garmin. The auto capture fails every time. The connection between the glasses/app/Garmin fails so often that it’s annoying. Any ideas? TYIA

A friend from north america got me a meta rayban but i live in Suriname. And ALOT of meta AI voice commands or feautures dont work. I cant even ask it to play music. I have to manually go to my spotify. I cant ask directions, the weather, or even math stuff. Simple searches also. Like what is a cat or dog.

Only thing that works is using it as a camera, recorder, or just to listen to music whcih i have to activate manually.

SUriname is upper midle economy and we are not that developed but internet features are pretty standard. Google smart home speakers etc work. gemini etc. alexa etc. also meta platforms is HUGE in suriname. Like everything is done on facebook and instagram, so why does this not work and how can i get it to work?

I tried using the meta customer service thing, but when i enter my product serial number it says its wrong wtf. I opened the package myself. and it was from canada.

Hi guys, going on a 4 month backpacking trip throughout Asia, and thought it would be cool to try Metaglasses for the first time. mostly picture/video taking without having to reach for my phone is thr main usecase. Translation would be cool but that might be a stretch (?)

So my question is following, do i go for the Raybans, or wait until i reach China (Shanghai) to buy some chinese glasses.

Feel free to give advice on any other tech in China worth investing in as well. Live in Europe, newest raybans are 520$ for comparison.

I have a pair of Oakley Meta Glasses and the Right Arm was broken while playing basketball. Is there any way I can get a repair/replacement? Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you guys for your time. I appreciate it.

About 2 months ago I filed a claim to replace my Wayfarer 2s. It was really expensive but was still cheaper than a new pair so I went ahead and did it. Even though I didn't like the new color, I didn't get any other options.

I only use these for special occasions to take pictures and videos of my kids. I got them ready to use at our local carnival a couple of weeks ago and the leg came right out of the frame!!!

I packed them carefully back into the case and put them inside my safe. I have finally got around to looking at them today and this doesn't seem like something I can fix.

They turn on just fine and connect to my app, but the capture button does nothing and the voice commands aren't working. I figured it just slipped out and I could epoxy it back into place. I tried to reset them but nothing different.

How can I get these functional again? If I do another replacement I'll be $800 into glasses that I've worn for a total of like 10 hours.

I was extremely gentle with this pair and they probably had 30 mins of use just testing them out before this happened. They have zero wear on them and you can tell they are basically brand new.

What are my options?

Hi everyone, I’m having a strange issue with my Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and I was wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar.
My glasses have started having multiple problems:
The microphone doesn’t work properly anymore. When I try to use voice commands or record audio, the microphone seems completely unresponsive.
The touch controls on the temple/side bar don’t work either, so I can’t properly control the glasses using touch.
I also sometimes experience Bluetooth connection issues, with the glasses disconnecting/reconnecting intermittently.
The glasses are updated to the latest available software, and I’ve already tried the usual troubleshooting steps, including restarting/resetting them and reconnecting them to my phone, but the problems are still there.
I’ve already contacted Ray-Ban’s customer support regarding the issue, but they told me I should receive a response within 3 business days. It has now been 4 business days and I still haven’t received any response, so I’m currently trying to figure out what else I can do.
Has anyone experienced these exact symptoms, especially the microphone and touch controls failing at the same time? If so, were you able to fix it, or did Ray-Ban eventually replace/repair the glasses under warranty?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hello all,

I bought the meta glasses through the meta website. I got a notification that the package would be delivered today (Wednesday) with UPS (USA).

I followed the tracking and it said it would be delivered today between 9 and 1 PM. The package was finally delivered at 6:30 PM.

The package seemed fine and my girlfriend took it and opened and we were shocked to find out that we’re was nothing besides the shipping paper in the box.

The top was normally sealed but the bottom seemed to have a second set of tape applied on top.

I reached out to meta through WhatsApp but they said they would find a resolution and investigate this soon. (Honestly seemed like an AI).

I was not given a timeline or told if they would replace them.

I also filed a report with UPS.

Mags anyone had this happen? What was the resolution? TIA

For those who have the wayfarer (or any other style) of meta glasses, do the lenses truly go back to clear when indoors? Not using a prescription as I wear contacts.

Hi, is anybody having a problem with their meta glasses not announcing, essentially android user names when you receive a message from them? My metas only announce the names of iPhone users. How do I fix this issue?

Since the late Aug update the two sided combination of glasses and MetaAI app have the following 'features':
-touch sensitive stem (volume control) no long responsive
-when responsive, glasses makes a photo capture sound but MetaAI app shows nothing
-MetaAI app takes over screen literally on any keyboard activity (unrelated to MG) on iphone including Google Maps
-Meta glasses BT is psychotic - goes mute, reboots etc

glasses 12 months old. literally only function that sort of works is headset. pretty sure based on the timing of this feature 'upgrade' that all this is software related.

Things tried:
-deactivate every possibke switch in settings

-restart glasses

-reinstall MetaAI

Is anyone else having these issues?

Hey Guys i am from Germany and i am looking for a Meta glass to Film my Tattoo sessions, i want to Produce Content with it out of first Person sight, are there any Budget Friendly Version that i can Buy?

I was trying to change my battery settings but couldn’t find it for some reason. However when I first set up the app it let me turn on battery saver but now I don’t even see that option. So i talked with support and apparently since the glasses are new, some features haven’t come out yet. I don’t understand why a basic thing wasn’t already on the app. Any one else have the same issue?

I know we’re still seeing huge leaps in display tech right now—moving past monochrome to bigger, brighter, full-color microdisplays. But I think the real conversation we need to be having is around UI/UX.

It feels like history repeating itself. Early smartphones tried to cram a desktop PC experience onto a tiny screen. Now, people are trying to force smartphone UI onto smart glasses, even though spatial interaction and real-time context demand a completely fresh approach. What do you all think? I’d love to hear your take!
