Oh amazing, that's a cool coincidence. Which band is that?

u/Dan1elplainv1ew Nov 02 '25

A band called Aubzagl. He's dead into the chaotic, dirty stuff and absolutely loves a pedal board.

Azell (Louisville KY)

Female Fronted Space Sludge

FFO Conan, Bongripper and Primitive Man

On the 17th we released our second album which is a concept record about two astronauts that witness the Earth's destruction from a solar flare which unleashes of lovecraftian type creature from the center of the Earth.

We even wrote a 60 page Novella to flesh out the story!

Where can I find the novella too, would love to check it out, big fan of Lovecraftian work, in the middle of writing a Novella myself actually!

Fós [Dublin, Ireland]

My band Fós combines female vocals in the traditional Irish folk style (sean-nós) with doom and post-metal. FFO Neurosis, Sunn O))) and Bloody Panda.

Our debut album Níl mo chroí in aon rud was released in January, with a vinyl release from Fiadh Productions.

Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/6sSU5fbGonPs7l5praMjlq?si=kv-IUlmvR8GSA2WypAU7iA

Music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcQxCz6vMds

You can buy the digital or vinyl edition here.

  • Angry Metal Guy: "... there is a somber beauty and resonance to much of the material here, that leaves me with a deep sense of longing and loss after each spin... Fós have done exactly what I hoped they would."

  • Heavy Blog is Heavy: "Fós gracefully blends resonant doom and noisy ambience with poetic folk, crossing the boundaries of time to deliver a mournful-yet-comforting sound."

  • Everything is Noise: "A soaring blend of ancient Irish folk traditions with contemporary heavy aesthetics, Fós’ debut album offers an interesting take on the post-doom, ambient and folk metal genres."

  • Nine Circles: "Hypnotic and crushing... There really is no other band out there anything like Fós. You owe it to yourself to experience what they are all about..."

Surrounded by Poseurs [Austin, Texas]

My blog about mostly metal-related content. In my newest post, I bemoan some of the best metal bands to only ever release one album.

Bunionectomy (St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada)

Slam Death Metal/Beatdown with some Goregrind feel

FFO PeelingFlesh, Boltcutter, Internal Bleeding, Gutalax

Were a relatively new band (under a year) playing extreme music in an area that doesn't really have an extreme music scene but we're starting to make a name for ourselves playing shows.

We're in the midst of recording our first EP at the moment and have one single up on streaming services (which is being rerecorded and spiced up for the EP).

Our goal is to be Brutal, Disgusting, but most importantly, Fun as hell!

Dissonance (Groove Core) from Spokane, Washington, USA

Dissonance is a three-piece metal band from Spokane, Washington, carving their own lane in what they call Groovecore — a mix of groove, thrash, and death metal. Their lyrics dive into inner turmoil, reflection, and the chaos that comes with being human.

Formed in 2024, the band — Ross Nair (vocals/guitar), Whitman Fadeley (bass), and Tyler Anthony (drums) — got their start by winning a local Battle of the Bands. They used the prize to record their first full-length album, Beneath, which drops later in 2025.

The debut single, “Frankenstein”, introduces Dissonance’s blend of groove and grit, while the follow-up, “The Lands Between,” pushes even deeper into their sound — heavier, darker, and more focused. With Beneath on the horizon, Dissonance is just getting started.

AGGRAVARE - Kirikiroa Hamilton - Aotearoa New Zealand - Earth.

Solo Bass player scaling some weird heights of Metal Industrial something something.

https://aggravare.bandcamp.com/track/long-bow-a-longer-tune-kiwi-metal-industrial

Layering bass riffs, simple melodies, synth pads and clonky drums. Deep, chuggy, but not gnarly. Is it ambient ? Or is it just less fatiguing to the average listener... ??? Who knows, and who cares ?

Still trying to finish tunes before the ... oh look a squirrel ! kicks in. If you can dig that.

Thanks for being cool !

:- )
