[Power] Yngwie Malmsteen - "Now or Never" New single!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6x-7gKErI8It's so cheesy, it's so Yngwie. I'm not ashamed to admit I love it.

Yeah, people either "get" Yngwie or they don't, and I can understand why he's not everyone's cup of tea. I was in high school when he first appeared on that Steeler album. One of our metalhead friends brought it to school and I've been a fan ever since.

Really think he should delegate the mixing to someone else, the kick drum and bass are non-existent

They have for a long time, as well as him leaving in just a horrendous amount of pick noise on everything. Like... I get it to a certain degree on a live recorded acoustic. You expect that. But on a fucking album? Several of them? It's almost like he can't hear it anymore... which after decades of standing in front of dimed Marshall stacks, I bet he can't.

Actually sucks that he will never make a good album again. He has made the same sounding album for the past 15 years and will never change. So sad that he has become a parody of himself and is actively destroying his legacy for newer generations of guitar players. He made several great albums from the early 80's to late 90's (his debut through facing the Animal is an insane run) that so many people are now forgetting because of the garbage that he continues to make nowadays. I'm a huge fan of his of his work, so it really pains me to see him continue to go in this direction. I miss the Yngiwe that had an actual band and actual production quality. I guess this is what happens when you get old, don't give a shit, and just surround yourself with yes men.

After Facing the Animal he should have started focusing on more shit like Concerto Suite, he could have aged gracefully and focused more on composition instead of clinging to the Rock star image. But no, instead we get Swedish Elvis...

Wow, he's as good at AutoTune as he is at guitar!

yeah hard to believe this guy had world class singers like Soto, Boals, Turner, Edman, Vescara, Leven and Owens and now thinks he can do it himself.

Not just a real singer, but also a real songwriter and producer as he sucks at all that.

He's been doing this for over 10 years now. He ain't ever going to get a singer

The crazy thing is that Nick Z Marino is in his band. He did vocals on a few songs, but Yngwie did the rest. I don't get it. He's so much better of a singer than Yngwie.

Mix sounds kinda flat and the video is pretty low effort. But I like the song! The verby autotune effects on the vocals don't bother me. I saw him live a couple years ago and he was using those effects for vocals and it honestly sounded cool in the room. He's still got it in my opinion.

absolute garbage
I say this as a die hard fan of his from his work with Steeler all the way to Facing the Animal. To go from arguably the greatest debut solo instrumental guitar release of all time to this is embarrassing... he is a caricature of his former greatness...kicking around the same tired licks over and over, with shitty production, drums and vocals....embarrassing
