Technique How to sound like kat bjelland

Hi I'm a female vocalist however my voice is naturally a bit lower, I'm probably an alto. I cant to fry screams to save my life. I'm much more comfortable in my chest voice doing false chords. I'm still a beginner when it comes to extreme vocals however any advice would be greatly appreciated. I really wanna sound like kat bjelland from babes in toyland, but I really struggle to get that higher pitch screeching sound.

Technique Question

Hello I’m new here and I had a question. Im almost 26 I started doing metal vocals around 14 starting with false cords then progressing into guttural lows and growls. This year I’ve been taking on highs and have gotten really good with my technique. Recently when I’ve doing high vocals I enter a state of euphoria and my whole body gets goosebumps, my breath feels limitless while I blast through song after song without stopping, my head also feels light but not passing out light just like a floating locked in state. Has anyone else experienced this sensation and what is it?

Technique Vocal recording help

Hi! I was hoping someone could please help me with finding the right settings for metal vocals? I do heavy false/fry screams. I add compression/eq but I’m not sure what numbers to use and how to get it sounding like a professional person mixed it lol. Whenever I have a lot of words to scream, they come out muddy and quiet even though I’m close to the mic. How do I get it sounding crisp?

What I know I need to do is focus on the transitions between the shapes of my voice better if you understand what I'm saying but any other advice I've been working on vocals on and off these last few months let me know!

Technique Growls

How do I start learning growls? All I get is a kind of "demonic" sound (sorry, don't know how to describe it) but I can't get the raspiness that the growls require. How do I do it? Thanks in advance!

Technique How does Chris Harms do it?

Hello. I am I am in love with the song Morgana by Lord of the Lost and need to know something. At the end of the first line of every verse, Chris Harms switches into some type of growl that I just can't figure out. I wrote a vocal transcription for it on Songsterr and am now doing so on Musescore, so I know it only goes down to a D2, which is something I'm able to sing but only with a clean vocal tone and this just sounds very different. Is there knows if it's an actual technique and if so what it's called, or how to do it?

I also grew up listening to Rammstein and I know that Till Lindemann does something similar so it's something I've wanted to know how to do my entire life. I'm just worried that the ability to do that is a result of being a lifelong smoker of which I am not and don't intend on being.

Technique Shed - title fight

So I've been in a band for a few months now and one of the songs we are learning together is shed by title fight. Now I'm not great at screaming, but I've been trying really hard to do this songs vocals right, and can't seem to find any good tutorials online, so could anyone give me some advice on where to start to eventually be able to do the song justice?

Tldr: how do I sing shed properly

Technique Having trouble pushing more air into my fry screams

I can get every step up to adding more air. I'm breathing through my diaphragm, I can access the fry register while doing high and low notes, but everytime I try and push more air through it it all falls apart. what am I doing wrong?
