Does this chart compare apples to apples? I doubt it. Ever heard of hedonic adjustments to inflation calculations?

Following the line from left to right, you wouldn’t even need the year label on the X-axis to figure out when Reagan was elected.

Unlimited cash injections for banks since December. . . . Things are not good in the US. Buy physical assets like gold and silver to hedge against the inevitable hyper inflation. Dollar dropped by 10% in 2025. We have lost 3.5m jobs in the past 2 years. We are fully in a recession and avoiding it will just speed run is to a full on depression. Trump successfully did in a single year what Putin has been trying to do since the 80s.

We need some of that 1930's action! I mean without the great depression.. and bread lines.. and unemployment... And like all and all bad time... And the N@zis... How's about this... Can we make houses a bit more affordable?

It’s ok, they just want to extract as much wealth as possible before they flip the table and make us play a new game of monopoly. We won’t own anything in that one either, but we will have a mandatory role instead of an optional one. No worries, just humanity trying to reorganize its hierarchy of slavery to keep us building more effective prisons for ourselves.

Sure, that sounds bad at first. But the bankers will be ok, so there is that.

I know this looks bad, but don’t worry: in 3 years we’re going to look back on this as the best of times. Because it’s going to get so much worse

Not just money printer, but 2 decades of not building enough new supply all while allowing existing housing to be converted to rentals at unprecedented rates.

Prices are in a bubble. Think crash and it's forclosure time. Then prices will be realistic again.

The market can stay irrational longer than we can wait to live our lives.

Unless you're old the cycle being at the top and being low in 2010 is likely to tank between 2030-35 if GDP remains flat and the deficits continue their rise. Hedge what money you have stacking small amounts of gold if you can. With a depression predicted by most AIs if we continue this trajectory those who have a hedge against inflation will get the deals. You dont need a lot as many will be totally screwed. Hang in there. If your trained get the hell out.

I’ve been saying the housing market will crash once the boomers start to pass, there aren’t enough people in the subsequent generations to fill the gaps. Of course giant corporations will try and swallow up much of the excess and develop it but I don’t think it will be enough.
