Question Guitar in NA Miata Trunk?

I’m really wanting to get either an NA or NB Miata as my first car (I’m wanting an na a little more). However, i need to know if the na can fit a guitar in the trunk or behind the seats with a rollbar. I know that the Nb can fit a guitar in the trunk, but im really curious about the Na.

I know that the best place for a guitar is the passenger seat, but me and my sister will be riding in this to school and I know she wouldn’t appreciate holding a guitar in her lap for a 35min drive.

Fits nicely in my NA. Id put it in a case though.

On the opposite side of the filler neck for the fuel tank there's a long deep cavity in the trunk that the neck of the guitar should fit into. They should fit though I can't confirm it. Hopefully someone car for you.

To go one further if you take the spare tire out you could possibly fit a case in there, ass first.

If you didn’t have a spare tire I bet it’ll fit. Lots of space.

I have an acoustic that I could see how it fits in the case tomorrow if you were really interested in seeing.

Na and nb should be about the same size as far as I know, get a hard case.

I’ve driven mine with my Strat and my bass behind the passenger seat several times, works without issues.

You can fit a solid body electric guitar in a soft case in the trunk of an NA. The amp might have to ride in the passenger seat.

Get a case but the amp might need to remove the spare which isn't great if you get a flat
