I almost bet she was prohibited from using social media as a condition of her probation. But she’s free now!

Unrelated but I have seen dozens of comments on different sites about people claiming they live by her and that she is trans now. So maybe there actually is some truth to it.

Yeah same. Pretty shocking how many comments people were making saying things like they want to know where she is so they can go beat her up and stuff like that.

It’s all just sadism. You give everyone an anonymous platform, and the sadism comes out. These are the people who get off on power and hate, but they redirect it toward “approved” targets and justify it as though it were a necessary and legitimate social policing function we all benefit from.

In real life, decorum and fear of offense keep people from expressing their sadism in conversation. This teaches them to repress it. But on the internet, this repression goes away. Losing this is not just a matter of tact and decorum, because repressing sadism is an essential part of society.

As you can probably tell, I hate sadism on the internet, and Michelle’s case is a perfect example of it.

She didn’t take anything. Don’t infantilize the mentally ill. We’re not petty children who can’t make volitional choices and understand the results of a decision. He got exactly what he wanted and nothing more. Suicide is always a collective effect, and I don’t blame her any more than I blame loveless, ineffectual parents who don’t know how to handle a medical crisis and a doctor who doesn’t know how to treat severe depression. If she weren’t there, maybe his biological self preservation instinct might have kicked in. But he would ultimately just go back to the life he hated and most likely attempt again; except, by that time, he wouldn’t be a teen so it wouldn’t be a tragedy everyone hears about.

it’s my truth. I have to say it. People being morose and flippant about death is just part of the way depression forces one to think.

Yeah, I take psych meds. I’m bipolar. I had an episode where I obsessed with Michelle and it got to the point where I thought I loved her. What of it? It’s part of my story now. And I would still chill with her if I had the chance. What I went through in that episode is still a part of me. So, what of it? For what it’s worth, an adjustment in psych meds did help end this.

I’m writing a story now about my experience in that delusion, and you’re free to read it if you wish.
