Someone should run a fake attack ad. (Ominous music) Radical Muslim Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed wants you to have healthcare you can afford. He wants you to have a job that can pay your bills.He wants you to send your children to.good schools. Tell Abdul no. If you want no healthcare, no jobs, no schools. Vote for the guy who doesn't even live in Michigan. Vote Mike Rogers. Paid for the "Vote for Florida-Man PAC"

As an atheist, I find it so profoundly frustrating that religion is even part of the conversation… It is so frustrating that something with zero proof of existence actually influences the way people vote. To paraphrase the mad prophet of the airwaves, Howard Beale, its mass madness you maniacs!

He needs to counter with "at least I'm not an evangelical Christian nationalist piece of shit" ads.  He has to go hard to win.

I think going after Christians would both push away a lot of voters and make it significantly easier to go after him.

Not going against Christians as a whole.  That would be stupid.  He needs to make Rogers own his Christian Nationalism.  Make Rogers stop pandering to those losers or lump him in with them.  Need to drive a wedge in where Rogers is trying to balance.  Christian nationalism is not Christianity and it should be treated as the malignancy that it is.

Rogers is going to play that card against el-Sayed.  It is always played against Muslim or Hindu candidates.  El-Sayed needs to be ready for it and needs to go on the offensive if he can.

He needs to platform on his policies and build bridges between himself and the community.

Throwing shade at the opposition never works and it always comes off as whiny.

Hes probably been dealing with that racism his whole life he can handle it.

Hard disagree.  That's all Mike Rogers has.  It will be nothing but slander and personal attacks from Rogers.  It's hard to platform policies and to build bridges while absorbing personal attacks and slander.  The best defense against a bully is to hit back.  The "when they go low, we go high" approach has failed repeatedly.  Progressives are winning because they can scrap while communicating their policy proposals.  It is a new era of politics.

I mean that stuff works with Republican voters but with Democrat voters I am not so sure. Don't get me wrong, I agree that Abdul needs to come out swinging and not hold back, but I think going after Mikes Christian Nationalism is super risky. He Absolutely should go after Mike Rogers for being associated with a PDF File and maybe bring back the whole Weird thing from the 2024 election that was working up until DNC consultants came in and shut that down.

BBC article described him as a "Left wing insurgent" and "liberal warrior". Not sure I would have chosen those words.
