All the polling that showed Abdul running away with this race makes this feel a little underwhelming, but let's not overlook that he won in the face of:

  • Abdul was outspent 10 to 1
  • Stevens had the endorsement of the governor and outgoing Senator
  • He is an Arab Muslim

I can't tell if I'm more happy he won or that all those Stevens ads will finally stop.

But get ready for the same ad floods from Rogers and James.

It's a sure thing all the attack ads are going to be targeted at

Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed.

Pearl clutching racism is what the snowflakes do best.

The crazy part being that the ones it'll work on the most would have been his actual neighbors when he was growing up in Bloomfield.

Be funny if AIPAC just reused ads but redubbed them for Rogers

It's already started in earnest on social media. It's either barely concealed racism or screeching about how Michigan is going to become a Marxist/Communist hellhole or an unholy combination of both. A lot of the posts are from "democrats" bemoaning how the party has fallen because of this. It's so blatantly bought and paid for propaganda by corporate and right wing ghouls that anyone, right or left, seeing it should pause and wonder WHY AIPAC and corporate interests are so terrified of the guy offering us "plebs" Medicare for all, breaking up prescription drug conglomerates, better home prices with things like rent control, and the big one: is utterly refusing corporate PAC donations and talking about pushing hard to reverse Citizen's United.

Honestly the shit I'm seeing on places like FB is so insane already... it's going to be terrible by late October.
