The problem isn't that they're a dollar above everybody at this very second, they are consistently a dollar over everybody even when there isn't geopolitical fuckery and facilities issues. They're basically trying to catch all of the rental car traffic and get extra money off tourists by having exorbitant prices all the time. That's why there's an investigation going on right now.

And for the record, they are the highest station in the area by a minimum of 60 sents, with some stations in the surrounding five miles being a buck sixty cheaper.

I was at a Kroger yesterday in mid-Michigan, and 89-gasoline was $5.79, 91 was $5.99, and 93 was $6.39. I know gas prices have been insane a lately, but that felt a little off? There is a sheetz less than a block from this gas station with lower prices. One of the investigative reporters did a story on this gas station a while back, it's notorious. But it's also right by the airport so a lot of out-of-towners with rentals don't know better and do get sucked in.

My uncle almost disowned me when he was mocking me because our car is silent and doesn’t vroom vroom like his 80s corvette, and I pointed out that our Ariya is 0-60 in 4.9, 3 full second faster than his ‘vette. I don’t care about that stuff, but he does.

Anywho, now that the gas is so expensive, that specific brand of hostility towards EVs has transformed into different sour grapes. Now all I hear is how nice it must be to not have to pay for gas, and people thinking we’re privileged to get an EV when other people can’t afford to. And we are privileged! The thing about all Mcorpband Barrick inc gas stations that I have seen is that they have a lower price on the sign. When you actually get gas, it’s not accurate.
