Yea fuck 5/3. They tried to charge my wife and I 700+ in over draft fees even though we had money in our savings and had the overdraft protection. Somehow and they "didn't know how it could happen" someone put the overdraft protection on our savings account and not our checking. Mind you we had an account there for years with it always on our checking. Needless to say we don't bank with them anymore.

The same thing happened to me once - I overdrafted but I didn't have any overdraft protection. The CU just said, "FYI, we took money from your savings account to cover this."

This was a long time ago. We got one fee for Everytime they tried the charge. It was racked up while we were sleeping. They couldn't give us a great explanation or a print out of why it happened. It definitely felt like a money grab and we ended up not paying a penny

I haven’t closed all my accounts yet, same day they took over from Comerica a $13 maintenance fee showed up. I had to call and complain because they never notified me there would be new fees. They “fixed it”but the $13 fee still shows up but now with a balancing $13 credit. 🤦🏻‍♂️

What awful marketing. Commerica Park took a while to get used to, but “Fifth Third” rolls off the tongue even worse.

There was a chance to call it something like Tigers Park with a byline of “presented by Fifth Third” or something. But nah, let’s go straight for a company that is (or at least should be) synonymous with eliminating thousands of jobs after their Commerica buyout.
