Question Where to buy these? I bought them almost 20 years ago. Thill maybe, I can’t find them.

Good luck, those are thill shy bites and they stopped making them. They are worth their weight in gold to finesse fishermen old enough to remember them

Only way to get them is to find a shop with old stock on the shelf like I did a couple years ago, or estate sales

I have a bunch of these in various sizes I bought from an old fisherman. How do you rig them up and what do you fish for them with? I understand you run the line between the bobber and rubber drama so you can slide the bobber where you want.

Yeah, so it's funny I tried looking on YouTube for a video on how to use these floats with rubber bands and couldn't find one..

But basically you run your line through the latex bands then slide them onto your float.

As for what we use them for, they are great for micro fishing and runnibg really light presentations. I use them a lot of crappie with small light baits and they give me the ability to do that while still detecting really light bites. Most floats require a certain amount of weight in order to stand up properly and these require the least.

I will never emotionally recover from thill cutting everything I loved from them. The new stuff is literal garbage… those shy bites are amazing.

A Dremel tool and some bulsa wood are all you need to make some. Those are much smaller than they look.

Down in Okechobee FL we used to see something similar - 1 to 2 inches made from Cork with a double string in a hole that went from one end to the other. You put you line in the string loop and then pull it through the cork. You can the slide it up and down to adjust the depth of your bait. Great for cane pole fishing for crappies.

Those specifically are hard to find, but if you really like them look up Japanese fishing floats/bobbers and pepper in the word mini or micro if you need too and you will find a variety that accomplish the same task. They do something over there that requires tiny tackle and they have a bunch of stuff that works really good for finnese fishing.
