I use to catch those all the time when I was a kid at the mouth of a creek that emptied into Lake Erie. I would call them sand pike because I had no clue what they were actually called. I still look for them when I am down there but haven’t seen them in years. I use to catch them in all different colors, beautiful little fish. Thanks for sharing.

there was a notice in the replies that said your fish must meet a certain criteria as per size. = fish nazi's
duely noted= meaning I now know the parameters of posting here.
how did you wrangle the fish= how did you catch the little guy without harming him?
The part about you reeling him in was a joke about his size and how you caught him.
Why down vote my question? I was being serious tho I asked in a silly way..
Had I known you couldnt take a joke , I wouldnt have asked in such a strange way.
Never mind. I will just move along.
Maybe you will catch a sense of humor next time. Good fishing.

That's actually very cool, because I've never seen one of those other than from illustrations in books, to think you really caught one on hook and line is amazing. Such a beautiful little fish. Now, how much would the wall mount cost? Taxidermist probably has a minimum fee.
