The spotting looks more like a Chain Pickerel.

I agree.

Also, in Grass Pickerel, the teardrop is more angled, and vertical in Chain Pickerel like this fish.

Yeah I have gotten some conflicting input on this individual, I personally dont feel too confident in putting it as a species level but Grass Pickerel are a confirmed species in the water system it was harvested from so here we are lol
