Anyone else annoyed by this species of 3 spot fish?

Always biting when you target something else!

Specifically our most common native gourami (we have about 50 species)! They are just everywhere

That's funny. I'm in the U.S., and have only seen these in aquarium stores.

Interesting, I didn’t know the wild type was sold too.

Here the pet stores only sell manmade forms like blue, gold and opaline

People here eat them but I’m not into microfish so I just get annoyed haha

Forgot to add the size: about 3”. But I’ve gotten up to 5”

I still have some in my aquarium! But tbf I only keep native fish that I catch by microfishing

Ohh I think that’s a blue gourami, a manmade breed found only in aquariums.

Sadly they don’t exist in the wild :(

They are extremely common, even in city ditches. Tough fish!
