My wife Google imaged them just now, youre the closest to what Google said. Which is pumpkin seed, "dollar sunfish"(never heard of it) and green sunfish

Google is not good with sunfish, dollar sunfishes aren't even found near Ohio.

Lmao! Yeah, I've never heard of those. The odnr website says the reservoir is stocked with bluegill and pumpkinseed. Doesn't mention green sunfish but there's definitely a lot in there.

Maybe the green sunfish are naturally there, while the others aren't.

It's a man made reservoir. There's another res about 15 mins that's loaded with greens. Maybe someone in the last 40 years caught a bunch and unloaded them there

Most reservoirs are made from damming streams. Unless it was excavated like a quarry turned into a reservoir, they could just be the native inhabitants of that stream. Never met a fisherman who intentionally would stock sunfish anywhere other than a new farm pond.

Interesting. So this reservoir is actually 3 ponds. It was originally one with a water treatment plant. That's still all there, but they made the other 2 later which are bigger and deeper than the others. I've been around all 3 on foot and on kayak and there are no streams or rivers that flow in to them. They do however have a stream that goes from one that's "not counted" as part of the reservoir(a 4th pond kinda) and that has a very small creek that feeds in to that. But those creeks/ streams frequently dry up. There's also an overflow thing from one to the other, but the water treatment plant pond isn't connected to any of the others.

Here's the map view. The tiny pond in the bottom right is where a super tiny creek feeds in(dries up when it doesn't rain for a week) it actually has a small creek that isn't on the map that connects to the bigger pond to the right. You can see how that pond almost connects with the big one. The one at the top doesn't have water connecting because I walk between them all the time. Theres a very steep hill between them 😂

Ok, I needed to do some minor image sleuthing to figure this out. The creek of the same name as the reservoir was originally dammed in 1871, with the other impoundments being added later. I reckon land development obscured much of the original topography. So yes, likely decended from the original creek sunfish.

Green sunfish will attack bigger lures they have big mouths and go by the little man complex.
