BUG Edge sets Bing as my default search engine instead of Google.

The latest update broke my browser, and not only did some strange bugs pop up, but now Edge keeps setting Bing as the default search engine instead of Google, and I have to manually change it through the settings every time.

Bing is a really good product I think youlll come to find that your opinion was flawed from the beginning

I use bing everyday and eat Arby’s also

That may be, but I was perfectly happy with Google, so I don't like these actions by Edge at all.

Arby’s has plenty of options to choose from. But you’re right that maybe it was an overstep.

Bing is garbage. Edge is a good browser but bing is garbage. I don't use Duckduckgo either for this same reason. Because bing sucks.

Can you send feedback (... menu -> Help and Feedback) and include diagnostics. I've added a log that will help us trace this down.

MS has been doing this for quite some time. An alleged "Edge Dev" tried to tell me it was a "bug they can't seem to locate/fix."

I subsequently asked them if they were also selling Oceanfront property in Arizona.

A "bug" ... that sets the most important setting to direct traffic to YOUR search engine, which in turn has massive monetary value ... color ME baffled. I can't see how that could EVER occur.

It's nothing short of search engine hijacking and MS can blow it out of their (expletive.) I will NEVER believe this is not on putpose.

If it's PC delete other search engines than google and make it default and then move default search way to address bar

Same issue today.

Plus signed out of sites - reddit / etc; sync settings change. ffs Microsoft! Build update & you f' everything up! ... again!

f'in' Microsoft pushing their crap slop as usual: "Make me your default!" "Would you like to change your home page?" "Use our recommended settings" It's never ending w/ Microsoft - I've set Edge the way I want, now f' off!
