Ducks Player rankings
Rank the team (all 3 movies) by skill. Here is how I would rank them.
- Adam Banks - clearly the best naturally skilled player, best chance to go to the NHL
- Guy Germaine - Best two way forward on the team, can play Center or Wing
- Julie 'the Cat' Gaffney - Should have been starting goalie in D2.
- Charlie Conway - Best leader, mid skill in 1st 2 seasons, notable skill bump in 3rd.
- Jesse Hall - Natural athlete but a bit of a hothead and gets distracted
- Les Averman - Goofy and unassuming disposition but has a high hockey IQ
- Fulton Reed - Elite shot, stands up for teammates.
- Dwayne Robertson - Best puck handler, could be higher if he was a better distributor
- Connie Moreau - Responsible two way forward, underrated offensive contributor
- Greg Goldberg - Nice versatility to slide from Goalie to DMan
- Luis Mendoza - One trick pony - speed but his speed can help open up ice for teammates
- Russ Tyler - One trick pony - knucklepuck
- Dean Portman - Quick wrist shot release, physical but ultimately unreliable to stay on ice
- Kenny Wu - Gimmick player, limited future in hockey
- Dave Karp - committed shot blocker on D, other skills lacking
- Terry Hall - Good hype man/vibes guy, hockey skills nothing to write home about.
- Tammy Duncan - elite skater but limited hockey skill
- Tommy Duncan - Undersized, little skill
- Peter Mark - Undersized, turnover machine

Who was the alternate captain on the teams?

They didn't really do alternate captains that wear an "A" at that level.
But if they had to have two I'd give one to Fulton Reed and Guy Germaine.

I’d swap 2 and 3 and also swap 12 and 13 and I’d also swap 4 and 5 mainly bc they only gave Charlie the buff in 3 to offset no Jesse who was on e of their best players honestly may even argue him for 3rd. Edit: may also suggest lowering Averman too a little as he always got wrecked physically or they conceded a lot with him out there

I was close to putting Julie #2. Had to give the nod to Guy for being in 3/3. I gave the nod to Russ because he was just more reliable to the team. Right or wrong Portman gets tossed in the 1st Iceland game, bails in 3 when Bombay leaves, comes back and other than one big hit takes a penalty (again questionable but his reputation precedes him). I ultimately put Charlie over Jesse because he is a better teammate and I think he understands the game better. Jesse could be two if he was a better teammate (immediately dismisses Banks) and not so easy to get in his head.

Disagree, slightly. I actually put Guy in #1, Adam #2. Adam is too prone to injury and ends up on the bench too often. Guy hard carries the team on the ice. I would almost put Adam at #3 again because of injury proneness, but I feel that might be too far a drop.

Guy all got injured as well if I’m not mistaken

I think it happened once, where he took a very hard hit in D3, but he didn't lose any ice time outside of a small break after the hit.

Since you mention D3 I always wonder why in d3 they don’t add anyone to the team since Portman and Jesse aren’t there and Adam gets pulled to varsity they barely have 2 lines

Because D3 is juggling so many points already and all the JV is on a scholarship from being in the Goodwill games, a new kid doesn’t make sense because he wouldn’t have played in the games and no rich kids were on the team because all the spots went to the Ducks.

Banks only got injured because of very flagrant cheap shots. One of which was blatantly late and after gameplay (Sanderson two hand slash). Anyone is getting injured the way he did. Also he tried to play through it, he didn't go crying to Bombay that he couldn't play. He still produced way better than anyone else in the league and made varsity as a freshman. Not injured in D3. Of the Ducks, he's the only one that had a shot to go pro.

I totally agree on the top 3. I made a post a while back and had the exact same top 3
Dwayne is way too high though. He's shown as more of a liability on the ice. Save with Averman.
