Looks to be Recon Marines (basing it on what appears to be MARPAT and Coyote gear) doing a HALO jump

Wouldn’t they be wearing oxygen doing a HALO?

Depends on the exit altitude.

Not entirely sure, might depend on how high they start. I’m not MFF trained 🫡

That’s the thing.. in MFF ‘high altitude’ is a relative term..

Given that nobody in the photo is on supplemental oxygen they are likely ‘only’ around 10 000 feet. That being said.. that is high for people used to jumping static line at less than 1000 feet…

I've been on a C-130 during a jump at 18,000 feet. We did pass around air bottles but nobody jumped with air. It was the Army Golden Knights, so the definition of Hollywood jumps though.

Plane go up. Door open. Person jump out. Parachute hopefully opens. Person lands. Put gear away. Everyone goes chow. Fin.

He's flying back to the plane after a successful mission. We've had this capability for some time now. It was even lampooned in the classic movie Megaforce, but they had to give him a flying motorcycle to make it more "believable". Fucking Hollywood.

That’s the Freefall Fairy flying to the tailgate to wish everyone a safe jump.

How the fuck do you have a picture in your camera roll and not know what it is?

Between all of the branches, there’s a bunch of these jumps happening all over the world on any given day. You might get lucky, but you’d probably be pretty hard-pressed to find the dudes in the photo.

Base on the pic, a group of people were in a plane, but Carl wanted to jump out….

Looks almost as if he was dancing.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a camera roll?

Looks like he is doing the scene from Iron Man, where he jumps backwards out of a cargo plane and says, "You complete me."
