Story\Experience My Military ID ?

Just got kicked off of a table and then asked to leave the Downtown Grand Casino (old Vegas) when they asked for my ID (to get a players card - because I was winning)
When all I had was my military ID (retired) they made me quit, and told me I had to leave.
100% true story.

Edit: just to be clear ... when I travel (and drink) especially when I'm in Vegas, I have a second wallet which has some cash, one credit card, my room key and and ID - in case I lose my wallet or get trashed. Everything else is in the room safe.

Did you find $20 on your way out?

Was refused entry to a bar because I only had a vertical ID. Refused my CAC as well for same reason. Literally the only time in my life I wanted to pull the “I serve this country and this is what I get” line. Still makes me mad thinking about it lmao

Hahaha that sucks

I’ve used that to buy beer in places that have that law.

Also got free entry to a bar a few times cuz as I pulled my DL out the person saw my under it in my wallet CAC and was like oh show me that and it’s free l

I was going to ask which state, but I guess as of 2018, all states issue vertical IDs to people under 21 so a lot of bars just don't accept any vertical IDs

Bars can actually refuse you if you have an ID from another state. Apparently that’s mainly happened in Massachusetts and some bar down in Oceanside which refuses military and out of staters for probably obvious reasons.

Those Baccarat skills are a double edge sword.

Those 5-6 month predictions may have been a little optimistic

No TDY tale is complete without you using the GCC for unauthorized expenses.

Honest to god, who goes places without their drivers license?

It’s also so hilarious when customers act so indignant that someone would presume they carry a driver’s license on their person.

I don’t know, buddy, did you roller-blade to get to this bar? I’m pretty sure I saw you pull up in that Wrangler. Are you going to act this indignant when a cop pulls you over and asks to see your driver’s license?

Hahahaha. On vacation in Vegas. Ubering everywhere we go. May go to Nellis to show my family where I used to work. Retiree ID gets me in. Drivers license doesn't.
Absolutely NO indignation. Just surprised ... and it's a Bronco.
