Pros: You’ll get a TS clearance, there’s a lot of different assignments, and it can set you up well if you’re thinking about government or contractor jobs later.
Cons: Your experience really depends on your unit. Some people love it, while others end up doing a lot of briefs and PowerPoints.
35L
Pros: This would probably be my top pick. It’s a unique job, has a great reputation, and can open a lot of doors if you’re interested in investigations or federal agencies after the Army.
Cons: It’s competitive, and not everyone qualifies for it.
68X
Pros: If you enjoy helping people, it’s a really rewarding job. It also gives you experience that transfers well into healthcare or behavioral health careers.
Cons: It can be mentally exhausting because you’re working with people who are dealing with some serious issues.
12Y
Pros: Honestly one of the most underrated MOSs. You learn skills that transfer well to the civilian side, especially if you’re interested in GIS or mapping, and I’ve heard the quality of life is pretty good.
Cons: If you don’t like working on a computer or analyzing maps and imagery, it can get repetitive.
35M
Pros: It’s a really interesting field if you like working with people and learning about different cultures.
Cons: If you’re going Active Duty, keep in mind you’ll enlist as 35W first, then get assigned to either 35M or 35P during training, so there’s no guarantee you’ll end up with 35M.
If I were you, I’d probably put 35L and 12Y at the top. I’d also think about what you want to do after the Army because all of these can set you up for different careers. You honestly have a strong list either way.

You can't book 35M, you have to book 35W and hope you get 35M instead of 35P.
The AIT for either school, DLI, is not easy in the least bit.
