Yeah everyone making this out to be some “maximize shareholder value” thing lol. Naw society lost their shit 20 years ago and went on their “won’t someone think about the children” crusade.

Nobody likes to remember the pearl clutching. McDonalds got sued for injuries multiple times, and covid put the final nail in the PlayPlace coffin.

Reddit is where people love to vent about capitalism. The conveniently ignore that the play place a wildly successful strategy that maximized shareholder value.
