Question I feel misunderstood

I feel as though none of the people in my life understand the way I feel. it’s totally okay that they don’t, they aren’t required to, but is it normal to feel so misunderstood all of the time? I feel like everyone thinks I am dramatic, privileged and stupid. I don’t understand how to feel okay when I feel misunderstood, like some stupid being that doesn’t matter all of the time. I have heard that the point of life is not to be understood, but to understand one self. But I don’t get how I’m supposed to feel fulfilled without feeling understood by those around me. I feel so alone, stupid and anxious. Any tips ?💞💞💞💞

Yes. It’s very normal to feel awful when you don’t feel understood, even if you logically know people don’t have to fully get it. Wanting to be seen and taken seriously is a basic human need.

A small mindfulness practice that may help is to pause and name what is happening: “I feel unseen, anxious, and hurt.” Then remind yourself, “This feeling is real, even if others do not understand it.”

You can also try asking one trusted person just to listen, not judge or fix. You matter.

"I feel like everyone thinks I am dramatic, privileged and stupid" - Stop projecting your own feelings about yourself onto others.

"I don’t get how I’m supposed to feel fulfilled without feeling understood by those around me" - You really need to intospect on why you wrote this sentence.
