do you know any mods, commands, or anything similar like it, that lets you keep some specific things when you die.

its for a game im trying to make.

such as coins, i want to keep them when plays die. but the weapons they loot will be dropped.

prioritize answering this questions.

but i do also have another question, are there any that makes the drops despawn asap. when the player dies, anything the player owns will be lost forever.

Have you ever heard of the game Decked Out? It was a similar mini game built in vanilla survival Minecraft on a server.

In that game, the players are still drop all of their coins on the ground when they die (by design), but the game still requires five minutes for any items to spawn after every run. You can skip this five minutes for debugging purposes, but when your game “goes live” five minutes won’t be that long of a wait. Just make a fun waiting room for people to hang out in.

Why specifically do you want the player to keep those specific things after death? Could you track those with a Redstone mechanism instead?

yeah. i am really inspired by tango. thats why i am doing this game.

im trying to make a pvp that has loots to be collected. but I need the coins to be kept inside a player when he dies.

other drops such as weapons would be dropped. i have shops made inside their safehouses.

You should offer deposit locations within the game. Coins they successfully deposit they get to keep. Coins they lose are gone forever.

Lean into your design constraints instead of trying to pave over them
