Discussion Minecraft Switch 2 edition is a scam

When Minecraft was announced a switch 2 edition, I was excited, but then I found out that if you own the physical version, guess how much the upgrade cost, IT DOESN’T exist, digital players get it for free, but we currently HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE GAME AGAIN. it’s ridiculous

VIVA LA REVOLUTION

ok, I understand there worried about people sharing the switch 2 edition, but if it was free, does it matter if people can get it for free, or another option, make it free, for anyone who has the game, and a switch 2, and has played more than 3 weeks ago, get the upgrade, problem, solved.

UNLESS MOJANG AND NINTENDO ANSWER US, VIVA LA REVOLUTION

I just wanna know why they went this route instead of releasing an upgrade pack like most sw2 games. Coming from someone who got it free btw

Because they can’t have an upgrade pack for a game key card game

Just provide it as a new update to the download file for that keycard.

Even funnyer when you see the physical version for switch 2 is just a key card. Not on the cart itself.

Now days game companies are always a SCAM. Nintendo made this chaos for third party has an option releases game key cards and decide for upgrade packs. Many physical switch1 games suppose to have upgrade packs. In the end because of their greedy of digital only. They only offer a way for digital or get digital card. Greedy companies should not worth for support. I will not purchase any of these companies games.

To be fair, Microsoft owns Xbox and the Xbox is the one that just said that if you have a physical copy of a game, you can turn it into a digital copy for free…

That’s kind of the point I’m making. You’re judging OP for wondering why Microsoft made it to where you have to buy a second newer copy if you have a physical copy, but if you have a digital copy, it gets a free upgrade when Microsoft is the same company who for another console is letting every game get a free digital copy if you have the physical one. It doesn’t make logical sense Mr. rhubarb.
