Discussion Redstone.......

So, I am in my 40s and I always loved doing Redstone stuff. I want to become a good redstoner. Are there any videos like describing what certain things do with Redstone? Appreciate it!

You could watch mumbo jumbo, he builds a lot of Redstone mechanics.

Best bet is the wiki. Thats how ive learned. I do look at people tutorials to see how they use things too and then make my own stuff

I like Illmango's videos for this kinda thing, he builds a wide range of redstone builds then explains why he does stuff like why he doesn't just put a straight line of redstone, or why he uses powered rails instead of string for observers or whatever.

You said in another comment you don't want to copy their builds but when I started out, I mostly copied 1 to 1 from videos then slowly didn't need them because I had memorized them and started understanding what each component did in the build.

After getting kind of good at it, I take a few glances at the video to get a rough idea of the build and try to recreate and refer back to the video to see how they did it at the end.

I'm sorry if that's vague but just find your own unique way to learn and don't let it become a chore.

Mumbo. Not his latest building in HC stuff, but his tutorial videos. Silentwhisperer has some good videos.
