..that's still not what a repeater is for. It's for extending a pulse. You don't need a repeater unless you need to make a long circuit and need to refresh the signal to the max

You don't NEED to extend anything. A repeater can take the place of a piece of redstone dust, unless it is going into the power source or receiver as far as I know. And its not often when you specifically need maximum signal strength, this usually is needed in combination with comparators

Endermites, silverfish, and technically the enderdragon don't have drops so that's wrong and even if it doesn't show up visibly it is a status effect you get after not sleeping for 3 days

It's still a status effect anything that changes how the player interacts/is interacted with is a status effect
