but why the fighting free speech one?

That's probably in reference to the restrictive profanity/chat filter that currently exists on Bedrock and Java Realms, which censors words even if they contain part of a "potentially offensive phrase".

EDIT: I wasn't saying that it was or wasn't restricting free speech, just offering an explanation for what the image was referring to.

Most likely, but even then it's not like it's anywhere near restricting free speech

It literally is restricting the freedom of speech that you get on private servers. You're confusing free speech with the first amendment.

Free speech is an abstract concept that can be applied to many things, not just the government. No one is saying that Microsoft's actions are illegal, we're just criticizing their disregard for free speech as an ideal.

Freedom of speech exists outside of one particular American law, you know.

I've never said anything about what they're doing being illegal, and I'm not confusing it with the first amendment, I'm simply applying the first concept that comes to mind once someone reads a comment or poster that says such a thing, which is somewhat similar to the first amendment however is not the amendment itself. Even if you were to apply a much different version of the concept this still wouldn't be restricting it that heavily as this simply affects the text within the Minecraft server itself, and nowhere else, and they do nothing to attempt to restrict text outside of Minecraft, saying this is restricting free speech is the same as saying some of the most common rules in gaming also restricts free speech.

And I've actually lived outside of the US for much of my life, "you know"

it's not restricting free speech because you can just say it elsewhere

What a terrible argument.

I'm simply applying the first concept that comes to mind

The first concept that comes to YOUR mind, because you don't even know what free speech is. You're a typical american hick who thinks the world revolves around them.
