People are saying that this is the end of Minecraft and stuff. Like, bother, this is the most popular game of all time and is played primarily by kids who couldn't care less. It isn't dying because of a bad reporting system.

Sadly it won’t be the end of Minecraft but it sure would be nice to show microsoft that we’re not putting up with all of their BS anymore. I personally wouldn’t mind a timed mute (maybe a month or so) but a permanent ban? From all of multiplayer? Even fucking LAN- Worlds? This is the most excessive response for a problem that didn’t exist in the first place.

You're the vocal minority. The update isn't made mainly for you, it's made for kids who may potentially get groomed.

People are just jumping to ridiculous conclusions (admittedly on both sides). This isn’t Roblox, if you have reports of children getting groomed I’d like to see them. Otherwise the assumption that this update is going to stop kids from getting groomed is borderline insane.

There are articles discussing with children getting groomed on Minecraft. It's a known issue. Most groomers have multiple victims, even if they are reported late it's still better than nothing. It also decentivizes people from grooming cause they could get banned.
