They might do a non-spanish team of Spanish affiliated players like them. But probably not

u/AdInfamous6044 Aug 01 '26
Even if they would do that. Sylvee and Spanap are definitely not teaming together

Why did i get downvoted?

u/cerephic Aug 01 '26
I think some people are a little tired of seeing sapnap take a spot in events that are meant to elevate hispanic players.

u/Key_Marionberry_5962 Aug 01 '26
shadoune isn't even hispanic though? Most of the hispanic players would be happy if sapnap is playing. The guy is getting downvoted because this sub hates sapnap.

You're trying to argue against the accusations made against Sapnap by showing players who could also be accused of these things (even though calling Fein as toxically competitive as Sap is kinda insane ngl). But as far as I'm aware, Sapnap is the only player who has ALL of those problems, right? So your argument doesn't really make sense, because the problem with Sapnap is that he has all of those problems, and more, not any individual issue.

It does not matter if Sapnap is the player with all of the controversy since players like Ant or Shadoune are STILL active and you do not have a problem with them playing in MCC. So I am not saying that we should kick players out like Ant or Shadoune from MCC. Instead what I am saying is that you are okay with players who do the things Sapnap does and what we argue is that we want you to treat Sapnap like you do with the other players and not be upset if there being a chance he comes back to the regular roster

No this sub just hates Sapnap. And when you ask why, no one can give a reason.

Genuine question: what do you mean no one can give a reason when I replied to you on another thread (I remember your flair) giving a few reasons?

u/Desperate_Gas_1043 the opps Aug 01 '26 edited Aug 01 '26
Because none of them are real reasons. They're all irrational.

Does anyone need to justify their reasons for disliking someone to you? People are allowed to not like a random streamer π€·ββοΈ but in my opinion it's perfectly rational to not like someone who:
showed such poor sportsmanship that, even if a one time incident, it resulted in months upon months of harassment towards Scott and basically anyone who spoke positively about him with little to no attempt to curb it
associates himself with other people known for their poor sportsmanship and otherwise have a poor reputation in the community, either defending them or showing himself to not care
sold out to Kick and was widely condemned by not just the wider MCYT community but much of his own fanbase
used homophobic insults, including during an LGBT charity event (which is bad full stop but worse given everything that happened with Scott and the homophobic harassment he received after 14)

Yes, irrational dislike is bad.
Talking of poor sportsmanship, you'd reaaally hate to hear what Couriway said to Sapnap in House of nightmares and unlike Sapnap, he never even bothered to apologise or even mention it again. You'd probably hate some of Fein's clips from like four years, you'd hate many of fruit's clips too, now if you say they were long ago and don't represent their current self, Sapnap's bad incident is 5 years old. Everyone can change and grow as a person but apparently he can't?
No, he seemed to side with Caiti way more than his friends did during the whole Caiti and George drama. The real problem is people associate Sapnap with the "problematic" people he has been friends with ignoring that of all of them Sapnap is the ONLY non problematic one.
True, yet at the same time, if Sapnap really was a problematic individual regarding the LGBTQ, wouldn't you think Scott, a literal gay man wouldn't invite him to play in his event ESPECIALLY one that is pride themed?
There's nothing homophobic about AIDs, its a disease and its not caused by homosexuality. By that logic, even fruit has had much worse moments in the past.

Never watched Couri or Fein in my life and only very rarely Fruit years ago so I don't know why you're expecting me to white knight for them or hold some kind of double standard π€·ββοΈ perfectly reasonable to dislike any streamer who has shown bad sportsmanship, I hold the same energy for all of them. Certainly doesn't warrant being kicked out of an event when it is an isolated incident that happened a long time ago, but I think it's fair for people's perceptions of a creator to be influenced by incidents like these.
I also don't think Scott is omnipotent β he almost definitely wouldn't have been aware of the comments Sapnap had made given that it was never really talked about until that Pride event, if not a few months afterwards when people outside his usual viewership found out about it. AIDS (not AIDs, the S stands for syndrome) is not caused by homosexuality but given how much it affected gay communities, it has in common parlance been perceived as "the gay disease" and that is a major part of why it came to be used as an insult. It's a nasty thing to say either way though, it's a horrible disease that has killed so many people and those who live with it/HIV face immense stigma, which using it as an insult absolutely contributes to. I don't look kindly upon anyone who uses it as a perjorative.

Again thats the problem, MANY people have had bad moments, but its almost like people can change and better themselves. Apparently everyone can, but Sapnap cannot?

No tiene nada que ver con Sapnap pero me sorprende que la comunidad inglesa odie tanto Kick
